1) Sister, Phyllis, Barbara Walker and I used to drag Main in Dad's 1957 Chev, standard shift, 6
cyclinder, no a/c in hot July. When we were about to pass a more fortunate classmate who had a/c, we would
roll up our windows and pretend we were cool as cucumbers! (2) In the 3rd grade at Hayes, kids
teased me and said that I spelled my name, Carroll, because I "liked" Jerry Carroll. I was so miffed that
I have spelled my name "Carol" ever since! How trivial that is now, since I really do "like" Jerry,
now.

just before that, and I’m extending my stay there for a while (looking for property

-- not to mention her usual writing and traveling.
Hope it all goes well -- have fun and best to everyone.
